E-charging park created at Prologis Park Eifeltor
Cologne/Eifeltor | 25.01.2023 | At Prologis Park Eifeltor, a charging park with wallboxes from Cologne-based charging technology manufacturer Kinetos® was recently put into operation on the premises of Rosenbaum Fruchtimport & Logistik GmbH.
Logistics throughout Prologis’ value chain is designed for sustainability; also when it comes to charging infrastructure in the real estate park. The industrial real estate provider is on the prestigious list of the “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World” and relies on high-quality modern logistics facilities.
“In good hands“
In the course of the expansion of the Rosenbaum Fruchtimport & Logistik GmbH premises, an e-charging park was realized. Here, the customer and employee parking lot offers eight charging stations for e-vehicles. The project was realized by the Cologne-based e-charging technology manufacturer Kinetos® together with regional service providers. Wallboxes (AC) from the Kinetos® Power Rock Commercial series with 11 kW charging power per charging point were used. Two wallboxes were mounted on each stand. The cable rewind behind the wallboxes allows the charging cables to be neatly wound up.
The electrotechnical conception on site was extensive. Smooth planning, from cabling and power supply to civil engineering work, had to be realized. Markus Schmalen, Managing Director Rosenbaum Fruchtlogistik: “The close cooperation and communication with the eMobility experts from Kinetos® was particularly helpful in implementing such a complex project. We felt we were in good hands.”
More and more companies are setting up e-charging structures to enable charging of company cars or employee vehicles, especially since a large proportion of charging is done privately and professionally. “The project at Eifeltor is sustainable and forward-looking. The companies involved, Prologis and Rosenbaum, are thus demonstrating their foresight,” says the CEO of the Kinetos® Group, Prof. Dr. Dragan Vučetić.
